Boundary Oak Golf Course sits on the side of
Lime Ridge in the Mount Diablo foothills. Looking at the course
layout on the left, the course generally slopes from right
to left. This affects the slope of both fairways and greens. If
you carry a compass you can expect the slope to be to the West.
If you orient yourself by landmarks, the slope is toward John
Muir Hospital down in the valley. For this reason, I frequently
refer to this predominate slope as the "John Muir effect".
